My family lives in beautiful Brunswick, Maine. Here are some of the community groups and projects that I like to help when I can.
Service above self. We meet Mondays for lunch. I’m currently on the board and serving this year as the Membership chair.
Midcoast Hunger Prevention Program
I enjoyed six years on the board. Happy to report that I was able to help the organization become more energy efficient and install solar panels on the roof of our main building. If you need a meal or want to volunteer to serve your community, the soup kitchen is open six days a week (every day but Sunday) and is located downtown behind Hannaford’s.
One day for the climate: from personal action to public policy. I was the co-coordinator for this event, which brought a thousand people together in the Augusta Civic Center on Wednesday, March 12, 2014.
This is the local group for the Maine Green Independent Party.
Maine Green Independent Party
I was the state party treasurer, the legislative analyst, chair of the legislative recruitment and advisory committee, chair of the nominating committee, and served on the state steering committee. We need political change!
NorthWest Brunswick Neighborhood Association
Our local neighborhood association, covering the historic downtown in Brunswick. I haven’t been active in the group recently, but many years ago I was on the board. From movies in the park to the annual holiday party, there’s always something happening in the old neighborhood!
